Hydraulics, My Rear-end...

I must be in a good mood. A few of the subject titles are remotely amusing today. The first subject title on top of the Farmall & IHC board I saw today was Farm Hand Leaking, Help. The other is, Farmall H belt pulley engagement rod. I believe that is what you jump over, after dating your tractor (to marry it?). OOOH boy! My apologies, I'll behave now. *snicker*

I would like to say my 400 had a grand recovery, but that project is on hold. I had too many projects going at once & had to take my hay at the same time. Now my hay is off & it's raining. What should I be working on? You know I couldn't agree more. I would be working on the 400 today... IF I had ordered the wiring harness a week ago. >:v( Everything else I wanted to do with it is done. I do need to drain the rear-end & fix whatever is wrong with the T/A. I think it went bad when the former owner used a heavy gear lube & smoked it. It was sold to my with the pretenses that the T/A is bad. Never said what he did to it. AACH! Anyway, I want to have a few days to sharpen & re-hone my welding skills, before I weld up some splitting stands. Sounds like a good project for today. Little rain & welding never did hurt nobody. ;v)

My plans to beef up the rear on the 400 are to offset the eventual power boost to the engine. No, I'm not out to build a pulling tractor. I'd just rather not have to worry about my rear, should the engine put more power to it that what it's rated for.

Whatever I do today, it isn't going to do itself. So I'm going to get to it. You guys have a Good Day.

Mike

P.S. About the engine, not sure exactly what I want to do to it, but I think it involves a small supercharger.
