Looking @ a 460 Diesel ?

I am a green person, But am looking at a 460 Diesel. Tractor sounds good But it is nasty with oil all over the engine and all the way across the drive train. Left rear wheel seal leak also. Hr meter has 3965 hrs, Has Good rubber and is shedded year round, What is a this tractor worth? I would like to make him an offer. I think with some TLC it could be cleaned up. Used very little during the year,

4000 to 4500 possible more if TA and all accessories work. They are based on the 350 series, and are good modest tractors. Do not make them produce black smoke, they are good at the factory power setting, and economical. Jim
