got my sleeve put in everything went fine now I see the lip at the top of sleeve is too tall, what went wrong I ordered one for a super h standard bore, how much more plain can one be.

That ridge can be .006 and be OK. If the groove is clean, and it is no more than .006" it will work. none can be recessed. Jim

You can use a Bbastard file to hand file the sleeve top down to the needed .006" , or less, protrusion. You will be very surprised at how easy and how quick this process really is. Hold one end of the file in one hand, the other end in the other hand. Work the file across the top of the sleeve using a motion perpendicular to the block rather than a back and forth motion. Good luck. John
(Had to misspell to get past filter)

Did you try to see if the flange of the sleeve fit into the block inverted before you pressed the sleeves in. If it protrudes that much it is eiether over sized diameter flange or way too thick a flange. Some suppliers are having a problem with getting the correct thickness but not that much. Note that the head gasket crosses over the flange so you want very little protrusion or you will have a leaking head gasket.
