REgular Carb question

Anyone know the thread pitch on the idle speed adjustment screw on the base of the brass IH carb, 3 bolt base for the regular? I ordered a new screw, but they didn't know the size. I will need to re-tap the hole.

OR

Does anyone have an extra base in usable condition?

Tom, off hand I don't no the size wait till you get you new screw check size than tape it. oldiron29

Oldiron29, that is what I am planning on. I thought I would ask here, and if someone knew the size, I could order the tap too and have it on hand when the parts show up.

I got it drilled out, now I just need to clean up the threads.........

Tom, I happen to have mine apart here in front of me as we speak, 1928 Regular, when I measure with thread gauge I see 32 . That help ? ~ Mike

Thanks Mike. looks to be about a 10-32 or 12-32. I will have to see when I get mine in and check it. Will tap a hole in scrap and test it.

I have a 10-32 and a 12-32 tap, so goodness there.

Well, the screw showed up. 12-28 is the thread size. Just ordered the tap on eBay.
