There were two Deere hats in the one picture! At least the middle guy was trying to hide his with the camo.

i am a international person and one of my good buddies is a john deere person. we razz each other all the time, its all fun. just wouldnt be the same if we all liked the same thing.however the wd9 is looking good keep up the fine job and get all the work u can out of your green buddies.

Looks like one guy is painting without a mask, the other with only a dust mask -- not a good idea--worse if hardener is used.

sflem849 not to worry there ara a few green ones in the barn also a ford and a Case we like all just have a preference for the green and red ones. The fact that my brother and I were not wearing masks is because we were outside there were a few times when we had to get close to move a part or 2 for better painting wanted to paint the main part outsude but it has rained so much it got put in to sand, prime and paint. For prep on the main part we sandblasted some of it that had lots of coats of paint or rust then sanded and wirebrushed the rest.

CNKS was the one that brought up no masks, but he is correct in his thinking. The way I count there were no painting masks and one dust mask being used. It isn't the particulates you are worried about, but the stuff that ruins your brain.

Hey Dave,

Tractor looks good! I am in the process of starting a repaint on my WD-9. I have a couple of questions for you on how you sandblasted the tractor. Did you have any specific areas that you needed to be cautious about during sandblasting? I am concerned about sand infiltrating the transmission/engine and am wondering if there were any precautions that you took to avoid issues.
