Reproduction Tachs, Junk?

I have gone though 2 new repro tachs on my Framall 450, both of them did the same thing. They work for a short while around 2 hours or so then they lock up, and will no longer operate. I have a new tach drive cable as well. Has anyone had these problems?

i have used a couple of the $120 dollar ones and they have worked well. but i am suspect of the $35 dollar ones from india.

Randy, i would suspect that as well but these are the $120 ones. I cant imagine how you could damage a tach under use, ie operator error.Maybe a bad run of them?
