I have a 1936 T20 It ran last year when I parked it. I put new gas in it and cleaned the carb out. When I prime it it will fire but will not run. Its a hand crank. Ive try everything I can think of. So Help anyone who can. Thanks.

if it fires when you prime it sounds like a fuel issue. Take the plug out of bottom of carb and make sure you have good flow of fuel, let it run out long enough to see that it stays constant and doesn't slow down. If not ok start working your way back to tank to find restriction. If ok have another look inside the carb. You can pull start it if you get tired of cranking as long as you have another body and a truck or tractor.

I have good fuel. (new lines and filter) I put new spark plugs in it, could it be the gov that is keeping it from starting? And what should the jets be set at? As for pull starting Im thinking about it, the only thing is, hooking my truck and tractor together(the 2 things I love the most) and letting my wife drive the truck,

I know what you're saying ! Especially with a chain, snatch strap not as bad.If you had the carb off it is possible you didn't get the gov linkage in the carb slot. Or it may just be messing with you, seems like sometimes you can crank and crank without luck but pull it less than 2 feet and its running.

usually about 1/2 to 1 turn out on the idle jet and 3 1/2 out is max fuel setting on the main jet so anywhere from 2 to 3 1/2 should be ok to start it

I got the linkage on right. It can be fun to get right. I now have a new rule for starting tractors. 1.- Crank 4 times, 2.- Go have a beer. 3.-Crank 4 times. go have beer. You can see where this is going. after 5 beers who cares if it starts, try again in the morning.
