I just bought a 1948 farmall super a and was wondering a good source to get used parts for it, one of the seat springs is broke and i'd like to find several good places to get good used parts.

Several salvage yards exist. Steel Wheel Ranch, Bates equipment, and many others. Ebay has offerings that can be just fine. This site has great new parts for it as well. Jim

I can get you new springs $30 right or left. Used parts are risky if you don't know your seller. A lot of junk on ebay.

yes, serial # starts at 252,***. The site here showed it was a 48, wished it was a 47 though!!!

I've got a few 1948 Super A's. Whats the big question here?? Are they hard to find or something?

You may want to try a guy that sells on Farmall items on eBay under seller name of burch_store.

He has a SA that is complete and has straight sheet metal and good shape BUT has trashed engine. Set with water in cylinders inside building for years, real shame.
He is going to part it out or so he told me.
Guess you could send him email under "ask seller question" on any of his auctions to contact him.

Tell him THL recommended him.......
