How much .F-12 Oil Pressure?

How much oil pressure is enough for a F-12 engine? My F-20s don't require much. Do F-12 engines require more?
My W-12 engine (same as a F-12 engine) produces 20 PSI most of the time (approximately 12 PSI when idling hot) but never more than 20 PSI. Is there much danger leaving it this way? Is the 20 PSI max a sign of a weak spring in the "Oil pressure box" under the filter? Should I pull the engine (a major job on a W-12) and replace the bearings? Or just enjoy it and not abuse the engine?
This is my first F-12 engine and I appreciate advice from F-12 experts.

I cant sya for sure exactly what the pressure should or should not be, but I can say this about my 14, the gauge will only go up about 3/4 ways when I first start it. After 20 or 30 minutes it will be about 1/4 way up. At idle it will barely be up from where it would be with the engine running. I first thought that was strange and maybe the gauge was bad, since it looked bad on the face, like dirty or oily. I got a new gauge from Rice, it does the same thing. This is on a rebuilt engine. It has about 500 -600 hours on the rebuild.

After my F12 rebuild, oil pressure runs right to the top (new gauge) Did you try a new gauge? Are your oil lines clean?

I'm with Cowman I wouldn't worry about it. My F12 does not have very much pressure either and that's on a freshly rebuilt engine and serviced oil pump. If it starts going outside that normal range/pressure than Id be more concerned, but like the other F series of the time its a low pressure system in most all aspects.

My machinist says that you really only need about 10 PSI per 1000 RPM, so you should be fine.

F-12's and F-20's have different lubrication systems. F-12's are pressurized systems. 10+ psi is very adequate on an F-12. On a F-20, 3-6 psi is normal.
