I will be getting my Regular I have wanted for many years this weekend, will post pics after I get it home ! Running and all working with new tires for $1100.It is not painted , which is what I wanted and am gonna leave it that way . It is about 15 miles from home, which is within driving range even with the slow gears, but I want to trailer cuz of the unknowns and possible mechanically troubles arising on the highway . My trailer is standard car hauler and is 82 inches wide, anybody get a Regular to fit on one of these ? A little sideways will fit ? Or I could make extensions in the stake pockets? I know it s not ideal, but it s only 15 miles of rural roads and I will just crawl along anyway. I realize the trailer won t be loaded front heavy like normall, but again, slow and not too far. Also the carb or fuel mixer seems a little off adjustment, can I get gaskets to overhaul ? And how to adjust ? Suggestions welcomed, Thanks !

Take the wheels off and slide it on the trailer on the "Bull" gear housings. Use the wheels to balance the load. I have hauled several F-20s and a couple of Regulars that way.

Hopefully, here is a photo.

We made extensions using angle iron across the ends of plank and bolted cross wise on the existing trailer deck.

Yes, that is what had crossed my mind too, I could make it to fit in the stake pockets. It would only be temporary, as I don t expect to haul it anywhere after it s home here. I cant see hiring a Roll-Back, I am way too cheap and independant minded for that ! Who knows about the carb/mixer on the old beast ? Thanks

How wide is your trailer now? How wide is the tire/ wheel configuration on the regular now?
I have seen some crazy ways some guys get them up on the trailer, but a winch & some extra lumber seem the safest way to me.

Mike: When I hauled mine, I took along two 3 X 12 planks 8 feet long ( I think). Winched the front end on and when the rears came up, I slid the planks across the trailer and pulled the rears up on the planks. Chained 'er down and came to town. Measure the width of the rear wheels to be sure of the length of the planks you need--if you decide to go this route.

Trailer is 82 inches wide, Regular is roughly 90 inches to outside of tires and non-ajustable. I was thinking planks also. Like I was saying, sure not going far or fast and this is probably a one time deal. Thanks

I haul my F-20 on my trailer all the time, and I don't take the wheels off. I run the tractor up to the fenders. Chain her down, and place 3 rear wheel weights off a Farmall A at the front of the trailer for counter balance. I have hauled the F-20 hundreds of miles that way, and also through an PA state police check point, with no issues. I also just brought home a 1928 Regular on full steel that way.

The tires/wheels overhand the deck by 4" on either side, BUT the important thing is that it is still inside the width of the fenders, so no issues with "wide" load.

I also hauled an F-30 with the wheels off, and yes, slid it on the bull grear housing. That worked fine too.

Either way works, just remember to bind it down well. I prefer chains, and have never had an issue with the police or check points that way.

If I get a chance, I will post a picture or two of how she looks sitting on the trailer.

Thank you , a pic would be great ! A F-20 has somewhat adjustable rear wheels but on the Regular you can t do anything about the width, and that thing is wide ! I am gonna try putting it on a bit of an angle and let one tire hang off a little and see how it looks and pulls. I always use chains and binders that are very tight when hauling anything, and have never lost one yet ! I never liked straps, I usually go overkill on securing the load and am always over-cautious in hauling anything.
