Farmall Super C Carburetor Issues

I recently acquired a 1951 Farmall Super C with a Zenith carburetor. The previous owner had left gasoline in the carburetor for about 5 years. I was able to take the carburetor all the way apart except for two parts: the Jet - Well Vent and Jet - Main.. Someone before me had tried to take these jets out and has stripped them. The smaller jet (Well vent) I was able to clear out and does not seem to be plugged anymore. Do I still need to get it out? The bigger one ( Jet - Main) I can not seem to "open" up. What is my next course of action? E-Z out? Left handed drill bit? I have ordered two carburetor kits and between the two I have all the parts except for the larger jet (Jet - Main). Where can I find this or should I just abandon and buy a new carb? Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Well, not an easy fix for the issues you are having. At this point, I would buy another carb OR take it to a carb shop. The threads on those parts are not common sizes, and unless you have the right taps and tools, it just won't happen.

There are C-113 and C-123 carbs on ebay all the time. some already rebuilt. Get a decent used one and put the parts you bought into it.

IMHO.

As noted by the Gator I have also replaced a couple of troublesome carbs on the 123 engines with new Zeniths with great success. I know the older UT Carter and maybe the early Zenith carbs are no longer supported with parts for a complete rebuild. I have never had any luck bringing one of those sick carbs back to life but the real issue might not be detectable by a carb novice like myself, Hal.
