IH 300U PTO Shield Bolts

can anyone provide the bolt spec (size/pitch etc..) for the bolts that attach the PTO shield to a 300U? I've got a new shield but no reference for what the mounting bolts are.

Try measuring the holes, I would guess 7/16 or 1/2 NC. When I don't know a size, and most of the time I don't, I just keep trying until I find the right size (impossible to have too many bolts) Length likely no more than 1/2-3/4 inch. The correct size may or may not be listed in the parts section of www.caseih.com. The first place you should look if unsure of something.

Thanks - I"m new to tractor restoration. I"ve just picked up the 300U in great shape - still has orig steering wheel and tool box in great shape - with a few minor things that need to be done os far as I can see. It will be used as well as restored.
