W9 ENGINE SIZE

Hi all , I met a fellow today and he said that his wd9 was 6 cylinder diesel . According to tractor.com they were all gas and diesel 4 cyl. Can anyone verify this ?

They are 4s. Not sure about the super new TD-9s, but I think they are 4s as well.

The TD-9 went to six cylinder with the late 92 series. Maybe the
very rare 660, which I've seen maybe 2 on this web site, was the
wheel tractor equivalent.

Both the TD-9 Series 92 and the International 660 tractor used the D-282 engine.

After the WD series they had the 600 and the 650 which were also 4 cylinders. In 58 they went to the 60 series, the 460, 560, and the 660 were all 6 cylinders. I do thing some of the TD.s above the TD-9 had 6 cylinders.

Ok guys fill me in. Thought all the TD-9's had the same engine as the WD-9's. What are you referring to as the 92 series? Thanks

Crawler tractors. 9 series crawlers used the 335 CI engine. 91 series used the 350 CI engine and the 92 series used the D-282 engine.
