farmall cub axle cap

On the right rear lower axle, is there supposed to be a dust cap over the nut or shaft?? The left side has one, but is fairly shallow. And, the one on the left is the same on both sides of a cub lowboy. But, the right one is much deeper. The local I.H. dealer showed me a schmetic, but it doesn't show a actual cap. The parts man said that he recalls something may have ran off the axle stub. There is a heavy felt seal, but it seems there should be a cap. Would someone please give some insight or post a picture. NO cap used (or needed) unless the special wide nut is removed and replaced with a thinner nut like the other side has.

My cub has a chain off that stub it runs a broadcast seeder. If not in use no cap needed.
