Are there any websites that would have color pics. of #8 IH 3 bottom plows so i can get True colors. And what parts are red , black, blue, and white? Thank You!

You could try a Google search. There is a tab you can click to do an image search. That doesn't mean the plows you see will be painted properly.

The Wisconsin Historical Society probably has some pictures as well.

Here is a good picture.

You're never going to get "true" colors off a picture. Even with modern digital photography, lighting throws the colors off.

There are many good pictures at images.google.com to get an idea of what gets painted what color.

Ace hardware has rattle cans of the IH blue, surprisingly enough. Nobody else has that color.

Tisco has the IH blue, and it is also available at most tractor supply type stores in the "Van-Sickle" brand.

A few yrs ago, an elderly gentleman who had worked at a NAPA store for years dusted off some books he had and he found what I wanted: their match for old Harvester Blue is #53 3736A.

That the blue paint that's on that plow in the picture because I know as that is my plow. I am very happy with the match. Just as I remembered as a young lad from when we thought those plows were high-tech.

Sorry I didn't give credit. I knew it was your plow from reading the post I stole the picture from.

Did you keep track of the Martin-Seynor paint code or could all NAPAs just look it up with the #53 3736A code?

sflem849,
The only thing I have to go on is the #53 3736A that is printed on the sticker on the paint can.

About the lawn chair.
We were at the 2009 RPRU in Madison, Wi. Storms were predicted for that evening. Not wishing to have my lawn chair blown away, I just stuck it under the plow. A fellow Wisconsinite took the photo in the early morning before I got there.
We backed a friend's BN Farmall w/cultivators under the tent and tied the tent to the BN and the tent was still there as well.
Now on to the RPRU at Albert Lea!

53 must be the IH number and 3736A must be the M-S cross.
