Belly mower on International A

I have an International three blade belly mower on the 1946 International A (yes, International--with foot throttle, etc.) I have. In mowing yesterday, there is is a patch of uncut grass between the right outside blade and the center blade. I took the blades off and sharpened them, but still there is an uncut section. Is there some adjustment I should be making. Off hand I do not know the model of the mower but it is an IH belly finish mower. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the blade are too short either from new or have been replaced by wrong ones. I would measure the blade and see if you can buy some a little longer. my 2 cents!

Get into the mowable grass and start mowing. While going straight, shut off the engine and let it stop.
Take the PTO out of gear, then carefully look at the grass being cut. Starting in front of the tractor, and continuing under the deck till you get to the blades. This should indicate what is happening as it cuts. Smashed down grass can respond to a second reverse direction cut. Short blades are a real possibility. Be careful to check all clearances if longer blades are used. Do not compromise with the wrong blades. Use OEM or replacement blades made for it. Jim
