I finally found the electrical gremlin that has been giving me problems for months. It was a short in the key switch. One of the prongs had just the slightest wiggle of loose. When I would check it with the meter it would test good because I was holding it over and making a connection. This is on my Farmall 340, I'm just so happy I had to tell someone.

It has been my experience that electrical problems are generally pretty simple...but you can sure *&^%$% finding it. Glad your problem was fairly simple.

Oh yeah, With steam engines it was said that you spend 5 min finding the problem and all day fixing it. With gas engines you spend all day finding the problem.
