I saw this tractor the other day and stopped and took a couple of pics. Has anyone else ever saw a F-? on LP? Sorry about the quality of the pics. Guess I need to start carrying my good camera with me all the time.

Me and dad are in the process of restoring a 1938 F-20 narrow that will be LP. The tank is the only piece left of my grandfathers F-20. I was told that my grandfather bought the propane tank and LP set up in the early 60"s from tractor supply, it was actually made for the F-20 and is stamped F-20 on the data plate on the tank. The tank looks different than the one pictured here it has a hole that the steering wheel rod goes through. I have only seen one other F-20 on propane.

twostep, There was a F-20 up at Plainview, Texas at a guys place, he traded, bought, sold old IH tractors and equipment. The LP set up was some what different though....
There was no vaporizer, just a copper line that ran from the tank, down the RH side of the motor and wrapped around the engine right at the valve cover line, then to the carb on the LH side of the engine.
Start the engine on Vapor then warm it up well and let the engine temp and air temp vaporize the LP in the copper line.
The Carb utilized the top part of the gas carb and a pancake thingie on the bottom!
Still a very unusual and cool thing to see, get it bought and be the hit of the Shows you go to.
