farmall 12 volt conversion

I have a farmall H trying to convert it to 12 volt. I have a 12 volt battery in and I put a 12 volt coil on, and today I purchased that ceramic block convertor, but I cannot remember how to hook the wires up to where. HELP!!!!!!

the ignition ballast resistor goes between the + terminal of the coil & the ignition switch terminal that supplies 12 volt to the coil. if u have positive ground it goes to - terminal of coil. if u have an extra terminal on starter solenoid (that is 12 volt only when starter is engaged) hook it to coil. gives hotter spark when cranking

The link below will help you with the wiring.

One part of your post has me a little confused. you state that you bought a 12V coil .

If you have a true 12V coil with a 3 ohm primary winding, then you do not need the ceramic block ballast resistor.
If your new coil is marked "12V with external ballast resistor", it has a 1.5 ohm primary winding, then you do need the ceramic ballast resistor. You need to determine which coil type you have before installing a ballast resistor, or not.
