IH TD14 Crawler - Steering Clutch Stuck

My dad recently purchased a TD-14A crawler with a hydraulic dozer blade on it and we"ve finally gotten the old girl up and running. Problem is, 1 side of the steering clutch"s is frozen and we can"t seem to get it unstuck. I"ve greased everything as instructed in the owner"s manual, taken the plates off at the back end and sprayed pentrating oil down onto the mechanism, and nothing, stuck. The hydraulic booster is working properly, but the clutch will not disengage. I"ve tried running it into a tree while holding the clutch lever back to try to free it up, but nothing. Does anyone know how to get one of those things un-stuck? Thanks.

I have heard of guys filling the steering clutch with dieselm fuel let it soak
a few days and then bump the tree.

Ah the old stuck steering clutch. They are a dry clutch and the vary last thing ya want to do is soak it with diesel fuel as if it does break loose it will slip BIG time . and never ever lock up again. So i guess your in for removing the fuel tank and getting dirty and removing it from the machine and take it all apart and clean all the plates and disc's and putting it back together . Been many moons since i did MY LAST ONE. Finger pinchen sob . The clutch pack is heavy and you will need to sling it to get it out. Last one i did was 42 years ago about this time of year for a neighbor . And NO i am not offern to help . Don't work on anything with tracks anymore

If you try 3 time and the want desangage you better remove the stering cluch and clean each disc and plate and maybe the trust bearing can be freeze
