Can i put a mower on my 1949 m or is the m to big

Yes a woods 306 works good under a M. Good thing about the M is it maneuvers real well if it has narrow front also good on gas. The bad its hard to get under trees as it is a tall tractor.

Do you have a 306? any problems with it? I can pick one up for 600, but I have some reservations about this particualr one.

I've got an L306 under a Farmall H. It was used when I got it maybe 12 years ago and has been doing an excellent job of mowing every year. Simple maintenance such as greasing the bearings before every use and sharpening the blades once or twice per season is all that is required. I've never had any problems.

I have a L306 cut about 6 acres for 10 years only have replaced blades great mower.
