1954 super mta value

needs rear tires and the fingers on the 7 inch clutche needs to be replaced but all new clutches rebuilt ta good motor rear end with narrow front end good sheat metal new muffler it also has a three point on

If you can get it for $1750 or less, JUMP on it. However, suspect a "hot" tractor.

Super MTAs start out at $3500 for a running example that needs a lot of work. Good ones go $7000.

While we are on this subject I will probably have to let my Grandfather's 54 SMTA go in the near future. Bought at Scott Implement in 54, they are still in business and I buy parts there every day. They were also a Buick dealer back in the day and I have Gramps 49 Roadmaster to boot. You guys hAVE seen some pics and know my craft and dedication. Not cheap but as close to drop dead perfect and museum quality as you can get. 10K would be a jump off point.

Me too! Tractor prices here in central IA are rediculous - everyone knows tractor restoration is pretty popular around here so they think their stuff is gold. Looked at an M yesterday that had been sitting outside for 10yrs...had a live pump otherwise just a plain M. Told the guy I would give him $450 for it as that is what the scrap man would give him, he laughed at me and said he would not take a dollar under $700 for it! Drove by just a few hours ago and its gone...guess he got his price for it.

i've seen a smta that was stuck, welded block, rusty metal, needed tires bad, and the ta was out bring 2900
also know of a few farm fresh good runners bring 1000 or less i'd take it to a sale or put it on ebay
