farmall a fuel tank

Does anybody know if or where I can find a NEW fuel tank for an early Farmall A? I am trying to help somebody locate one, and not having any luck. Thought I remembered seeing them advertised from O.E.M. Tractor Parts. Looked on their website and they don't list them

You will have a hard time to find a new one. The price would be more than the tractor is worth by far. You can get them cleaned and coated.

It would be awful hard to find a new gas tank for a 60+ year old tractor. I think you will be able to find one in a scrap yard somewhere. If you can find a tractor that was scrapped due to engine or drivetrain difficulties (or another more minor reason), the tank will be fine. If I remember correctly, many of those tanks were used on different models. Don't quote me on this, but I think a B, C, or 140 tank might work. A Cub tank will not look right, as it is much smaller, and is rounded off instead of teardrop shaped.

I don't know of any new ones. But I do have 1 or 2 used ones from parts tractors I have. By the way the tank from a B is the same as the A
