Father in law called tonight, he was disking up a farm I have a few miles away and said towards the end of the feild he started hearing a weird noise. Said he could feild what he thought was an exhaust leak by the closest injector to the operator platform. He said the engine was at operating temp so he couldnt lok to deep. He said it made it sound like a JD 2 popper. He thought it was an injector, or head gasket, but said the engine lost no power, nor ran poorly. I am thinking it is an exhaust manifold gasket. Is there any thing else I should check out in the morning on it that could cause these symptoms? How hard is an exhaust manifold gasket change on a 1206? Boy, between the brake issue on the 806, the fuel problemm n the 870, and now this on the 1206, all during the only decent 2 weeks of weather is kind of depressing. Also, IF it is just a exhaust manifold leak, can it be ran for very long, or will I do damage to some thing else, such as maifold or the engine?
