1950 cub, rebuilt hyd pump filled with correct oil, bled system according to manual, no more oil getting into crankcase. when raising mower it lifts about a fourth of the way, have to rev engine up high to get the mower raised the rest of the way & when you do this the pump seems to run hotter than normal. thanks for any replies, remember the people that keep us free!

May have an air pocket trapped in the lines, cycle your loader up & down a few times, then lower it all the way, shut the tractor down & re-check the fluid level in the reservoir, do this a few times to work any air out of the system, and keep the reservoir full.

I'm not familiar with your system but if you have a relief valve, It may be set too low. Oil going over a relief valve will cause heat.

Agree with the other fellow, you most likely still have air in the system. Check the level after moving the lever back and forth many times. If you dont get full range then, you will have to get a gauge on the touch control and see what you have for PSI. I have pulled and rebuilt a few of the touch control units, they are not fun but are doable with a little knowledge.
