pto/hydraulic pump shaft

Need to change out the lower shaft in the transmission of my H to accept a different style PTO, I have the transmission stripped except for the lowest shaft up front, any words of wisdom how this shaft comes out? Also am looking for a replacement shaft for this project

First of all, you loosen but not take off the nut up front,(it is the driver of hydraulic pump). It is right hand threaded. With all other shafts out it is difficult to lock shaft to do this but can be done. Then you remove snap ring behind rear bearing, drive bearing off shaft to the rear. Then take front nut off, push shaft back and tilt assembly up and out.
