Does anyone have a suggestion as how to remove the manifold stud bolts on a farmall regular that are really rusty and corroded outside of the nuts (threads gone)?

few diff. ways.
can use a torch to get the nuts off if careful.
can use a cold chizel and split them.
can us an air chizel to spit them.
then once manifold and or head is off can turn the studs out with a small pipe wrench, hopefully.
if they break off thats another story.

Jerry, I have read where guys would head the stud red hot and let it cool and the stud will come loss PB never hurts. I have not had much luck with that. If it is real bad I cut it off clean and punch and drill it. Start with small bit and work your way up. Try to save the treads in the block us a tread cleaner or tap to clean out. until you can put in a new stud. oldiron29
