Power adjust rim color

Hi guys. I have a 350 LP with the optional factory power-adjust wheels. It looks like the rims were white originally instead of the standard silver. Does this sound right? I just want to get it right when I repaint it.
Thanks,
Dan

Both above are correct, the rims came from the factory galvanized coating only, no paint. So anything close to fresh galvanize finish is correct. I think they look better silver, but to each his own.

I'm not sure that is correct. I have cleaned up more than a few rear tractor rims that had aluminum paint on the INSIDE of the rim, and using a cup brush on an angle grinder to take it down to bare metal revealed NO indication of galvanizing on either the inside or the outside of the rim.

Not trying to start an argument. I am only stating what I have found.

I thought I read somewhere the rims were galvanized, I will have to go back & find it.
I just checked the photos of 350s & 450s on the wisconsin historical society site and all the photos I see of 350s with spin out rims, they look both silver, and light gray, could be how the differing vendors that provided the wheels finished them that made these differences.
I will do some checking & get back to you on the galvanized thing, I did find a paint committe I37 that states they were to begin painting wheels white on 350's & 450's.
