Super M Hood size

Is the length of the hood for a 1953 (stage II) Super M the same as the earlier M? I have a hood off of an M which measures 38 3/8 inches in length. I need 39 inches to "close the gap" in front where it meets the grill.

I thought all the hoods for the M and Super M were the same length with the exception of the Super MTA.

Any help here?

You can probably move the radiator back some to "close the gap"

Thanks, however, I have moved the radiator back to the rear limits of the mounting holes. Quite a job considering I have an old style wide front end on it.

have to made any adjustment to the radiator "brace" that runs above the valve cover?

You might get 5/16ths by loosening up all the tank bolts and working it forward.

Dont know about thehood deal,but the grill from an M is the same as the superM-My super wears an older M grill.
