case #10 sickle bar

i just got a case sickle bar mower with no belt does anyone know what size belt it uses? it a 3pt. case 10 and where i could get a manual for it

Don't know anything about that mower, but if you have a Case IH dealer nearby, they can probably help you with both the belt and the manual. My dealer just ordered me a manual for a fast hitch plow from the 50's or 60's, didn't know if they could get it, and sure enough they could, shipping it to the dealer cost more than the reprinted manual itself! (only about $12 total!)

You can measure the width of the pulley where the belt rides, that will give you the "series" (belt width). Take a pice of nylon rope the same size as the width of the pulley, wrap it around both pulleys pull it taunt, and cut it where they meet, measure the length of the rope, this will give you the belt length, Gates belts website will cross reference this length to a number you can use just about anywhere.
