Blunt, The rear mounting bracket for an A is one piece with pullys and mower mounts. Unlike the B it is 2 piece that mounts on the tranny under side. The mower will fit. I would try to find the correct brackets for the A mounting. oldiron29

The belt is same length but the brackets for the A are completely different than the B. Deck is the same and the brackets but the drive is not even close. You could make them for the A using the parts off the B but without seeing one mounted on the A mite be hard for you to do as i dont know your skills and tools as you need iron and welder to build. The A doesent have the bosses for the mount like the B has.

Heck you can order the parts new from a Woods dealer.
