fast hitch question?

hey guy's my 300U has a fast hitch and i have the 2 bars that you can install to be able to use 3 pt implements. the distance between the bars and ball sockets is about 27 1/2 inches. some york rakes and the King Kutter dirt scoop i have are wider than this 27 1/2 inches.
what is done to adapt the wider implements to the narrow unadjustable fast hitch width.

I had a M-F field cultivator at one time that I could turn them around to point the pins IN to make it narrower for a Cat I. When I got it, it had Cat. II pins and were pointing OUT. I bought Cat I pins and found the arms on my S-55 Oliver would not swing wide enough to hook up, but they could be pointed in and work. Can you do that with either of these?

Some times you can take one or both pins on the equipment and turn one to point in and the other out or both turned in or both turned out all depends on the machine. Or you can also take a long rod and run it through to pin holes and into the lift arms with pins to lock it so the equipment does not slide side ways

I have one of the original IH fast hitch to 3 pt conversion. You can get certain widths by changing the 3 pt "hooks" with the the frame and a shim with 2 bolts per side. Not very fast for changing from one implement width to another. I did buy a Cat 1 Quick Hitch but is limited to Cat I width. Some implements such as my JD cultivator, you can adjust the width of the pins, but the Cat I blade was the right size.
