Front-End Loader For 444

Folks:

I want to outfit my diesel IH444 with a front-endloader. It has the 15 gallon hydraulic system. I take a lot of guff from friends/neighbors about my old machinery, but I like it and want to stay with it.

Can any of you comment on a good brand or manufacturer that will work on my trac?

Hi, the IH 1501 and 1550 loaders were made for that model of tractor.

I second that....look for one with hyd bucket rather than manual trip.

1850 will fit as well and is full hydraulic with twin bucket cylinders.

The IH 2000 and 2050 loaders were often installed on those tractors.

Are you sure that you hydraulic system has a 15 gallon capacity? Normal capacity of the hydraulic reservoir is 3 gallons. If you have a front mounted, crankshaft driven hydraulic pump the capacity can be increased by drawing the oil out of the transmission and returning it to the hydraulic reservoir. That option was normally only used on the 2444 models.
