100 oil pump question

My engine is losing oil pressure and it does have a significant amount of smoke out of the oil fill after it warms up. If the base of the oil pump is warped, can that contribute to the amount of smoke coming out of the oil fill?

No. That is blow by and a ring issue usually. Try putting a teaspoon full of ATF in each spark plug hole, crank it to distribute the ATF, then put the plugs in and let it set for three days or so to loosen the rings. If it has just gotten worse over the years, it needs rebuilt.
If the ATF does no good (it will smoke when first started) rebuild is in order. Check the oil pump when it is torn down, it can cause low pressure. Jim
