966 3-point

Had the 3-point planter (6-row) on last night, and noticed when I had it raised all the way up, I would feel a jerk. I think it settles down, and then the pump kicks it back up. Is it the pump, dirty filter, or something else. It raises and lowers good, just does it when it is trying to hold it at a certain height of the ground. Thanks for the help.

The most likely cause is a leak on the hydraulic piston seals in the lift cylinder. It can be inspected by removing the upper link bracket on the rear frame and watch where the comes out.

Knee-jerk reaction is to say drop valve or leaky 3-point cylinder seal.

However, has this tractor been sittin' all winter? Might wanna just use it for a couple of days and your problems just might cure themselves when that stiff seal limbers up a little.

Tractor was used to move snow in the winter, otherwise it sat most of the time. 3 point hasn't really been used since planting season last year.
