H rear rim alignment

After putting the rear rims and tires back onto my "43 H, I neglected to retorque the hub to rim clamps and consequently the left hub spun slightly under a load inside the rim knocking off one of the two alignment "pins" from the rim. It appears that they are pressed in, as there are perfect holes in the rim, with no tear in the metal. Can these pieces still be had. CIH parts page doesn"t show any such animal. Thanks, Kevin

Pins? generally there are blocks riveted on like these. You could weld something on. Of course you will have to remove the tire.

IH didn't make the rims.

Rims were made by third-party manufacturers like Unverferth.

Frankly, I would sincerely doubt if you could get just the "pins." It's either the whole rim, or nothing.

Regardless of what you do, you'll have to remove the tire to replace the piece. It was riveted, not pressed.

Just weld a stop block on like Cowman says. All the new rims made have welded blocks by the way.

Cowman, The blocks (a much better description) look nothing like your picture. No rivet heads protrude from the blocks on either rim. Maybe they're already aftermarket rims. Thanks for the info, Kevin

There are 2 ways to fix your problem. #1 replace the rim. #2 remove the tire and tube then weld the block if you have it back on then put tire and tube back on.

Ive got to wonder if your working the snot out of! Youve got another one, loosen the lugs, spin it around until it stops them tighten them back up again. Just make sure you retighten them. BTDT and have one like that now,
