Old pictures

Today I was looking through some old family pictures, looking for a particular one of my sis and a cousin that I thought I had. In the process I came across a couple of me on the seat of Dad's new 1947 Cub when I was 5 years old, plus a couple of me on his a 1942 JD B belted up to the hammer mill and hooked to a hay rack. I also found one I thought was lost that was taken of the farm in about '56 or '57 from an airplane, where I had the Super C and New Idea manure spreader in front of the chicken house. This was an every-other Saturday morning job that I just hated. Never did find the picture I was looking for, but it was fun anyway.
How many remember when photographers flew around taking those pics and then came by to sell them to you? maybe they still do???

[quote="IH fan"; well...since we found out we can't post about America's Most Wanted being dead, there should be a lot of room for some of those photos. Let us see them; I want the aerial view of the tractor, spreader and chicken coop.

they still do this. actually had a guy come around a few weeks ago with an overhead view of our greenhouse business. we bought one 10 years ago too.

Had one come around a few years ago with an aerial black and white photo. The game was to take it in the off season, and interest and involve you, the property owner, in providing the correct colors you wanted everything. Less expensive that way, if you want a fake looking watercolor.
Then more recently, a guy comes by with a nice aerial photo. When I tell him if and when I want to see my place I'll get in my airplane and take a look, I expect him to back off. But he then says I should understand how much it costs to go up and take pictures! Nobody asked him to do it! I guess many sales jobs require a real blockhead!

Best way to get rid of them and other unwanted salesmen is to just tell them you don't own the property and only rent the house and the owners live in a far away state. They don't stay long then. I've used that line for years and it works great.

Got the pics scanned, but being kind of computer dumb, I can't figure out how to get a scanned picture attached. I can find the pictures when I open the scanner program, but when I try to find it to attach to something, it's not there. This is something I need to figure out within my computer, not the problem of attaching it to this forum (that may come later). I wouldn't even be able to attach it to an email if I can't find it. My wife said she has had problems attaching scanned things too, but she had it figured out once and maybe can again.
