how to set up plow

Hello , what is a good procedure to set up and adjust plow for plowing. I have just came across a older 3 point dearborn 2 bottom plow , and It should work behind the 340 utility I have. My 340 has a 3point that mounts into the 2 point quick hitch, just not sure how to adjust the plow for effective plowing. thanks Jim

Furrow tire should be set 1/2 width of plow cut plus 1/4 of the bottom size from center plus 2", if this can not be obtained split the difference between tractor and plow, place land wheels of tractor on blocks the depth of plowing and level plow, set tailwheel/skid so landside runs 1/2" from furrow wall, set suck of bottoms so back of landsides run 1/2" from furrow bottom, set colters so they cut at less 1/2" wider then the bottoms, or find an old plow manual and these settings should be close, going from memory and you know what they say about that, good luck
