A few pictures.

I wanted to show you guys some pictures of my tractors. The one picture is my grandfathers 1939 Farmall A that i found ond bought back. It needed a complete restoration, front to back and top to bottom. I completly rebuilt the engine, went through the tranny and final drives, new wiring and then i painted it. This is only the second tractor that i have painted. The other picture is my 1973 1468 all ready to go to the field, Now i just need it to stop raining. Thanks to all who ahve helped me.

Nice tractor's but I would Get rid of the cab Then you will have the nice's tractor IH has ever made as far as looks I will own one someday!

(quoted from post at 14:12:22 05/02/11) Sweet! 1468 I love them but Hate the cabs lol!
You never spent all day on one in July in Kansas did you? Of course a cab without AC (or even a swamp cooler) is worse than no cab.

That cab has very good working factory AC and is in very good shape thats why its still on there. I would certianly take the cab on a hot sunny day pulling a cultivator in the dirt and dust. But they are not that quiet inside ill give ya that. I much prefer my 86 series cabs.

i love your a . just re-built my 39 a, and went and got paint wich cost 176.00. my ser # is 1853. its a hand crank. pops rite off now. thanks for the pic. the paint i got is ih 50.....

Check around for some hard back foam insulation panels, cut to fit and install on the inside areas that are accessable, you can find it in 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2 in thickness, cover it with black yinyl & install with trim washers & screws so it can be removed, you have yourself a very quiet cab then.

The 66 series tractors were the coolest tractors that IH made and the v-8 1468 with out a cab was the coolest of cool only thing that would be cooler would be to add a roll bar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
