504 IH tractor hydraulics

I have a 504 IH tractor and may want to run a one way cylinder with just one hose , will all i have to do is hook up the one hose or do i need to change something else like on the 560 tractor???

Should be same as our 656. You just use it. Select the correct coupler so that the lever cannot accidentally get put into float position when you intend to raise. for lowering, it is probably better to push into float position, but the brief time should not hurt the relief valve if you don't utilize float. If concerned, a hose to dump into the reservoir can be connected to the unused coupler.

I was unsure how to answer this question. I have a 504 and know there is not a selector like the 560. I assumed you would only hook in to one hose since both ports are positive pressure on the 504 hydraulics.
