140 hydraulic

Trying to get parts to rebuild hydraulic pump. Gave the dealership Model number and Serial number. Now they want to know what make the pump is? How do I identify this pump? Shouldn't they know or be able to help me identify the pump? They say this tractor came with two different pumps.

Go to www.caseih.com and check the parts listing for the 140. You should be able to figure it out from the illustrations.

Here's the Pesco pump parts breakdown. They used Thompson pumps too. I would think there's a an id plate on that pump. Hal

It did take the pump off then you will know what you need.

You need a picture of them to know which one you have. There is picture of them side by side in the parts mannual. I would get a copy of this picture from the dealer and compare to yours.

I think the pumps usually have the IH part number stamped into them. It is usually fairly fine print and not easy to find or read.
