Farmall H seats

The standard seat was the pipe frame. A very popular option was the "Monroe" easy ride, and seems to be the most common today.

A couple of other aftermarket options was a "Knoedler", and then there was something called a "joy-ride"?

Here is a picture of the Knoedler "Flow-ting" aftermarket option seat, I have heard they were available at Tractor Supply Company starting in 1947

Mine is the pipe type seat. It's still a solid seat, but worn enough that it leans to the right. I suppose from years of someone looking back over their left shoulder.

I have one of those seats on my JD A. Hate hearing they wernt origional lol. Ive seen them on a few F-20s ive owned

Yeah, they wore that way after a few years of plowin'. We had a Knoedler seat on our W-6 and I raised it up and made it solid by putting bolts in the adjustable slots. It may have rode harder but the clutch and brakes pushed a lot easier when you set higher. Our new '50 H came with the Monroe type seat, sure was a lot better than the old curved tube type...you set higher in that too and the ride was beautiful. The Monroe seats were available after market for almost all makes and models of tractors.

My neighbor has one of these Knoedler seats on his M. We like to call it the suicide seat. That seat is TERRIBLE. It feels like you will flip over backwards everytime you drive it. Ditto on the clutch and brakes being more difficult to operate with the low rider option.
