Hi all, I bought a d282 the SS# is 282DU2U096399. What year is this engine? And does it have the heavy press fit sleeves in it? All replys appreciated.

I do not know the year, but is this going in your 403, or have you already put a diesel in it?

Hi 282 good to hear from you again. Yes I plan on putting the 282 in the 403 before soy harvest this fall. Did you ever find all the parts to put the 282 in your 403. From what I have learned it is a pretty easy swap.

hello,it bolts right up,but you must have the right parts,we munted (not on the combine)all the parts and everything fit.but i don't have those parts that makes it work.

Serial number break for the change in sleeve fit is 71,777 - 71,778. Your engine is number 96,399. It should have the heavy press fit sleeves.

Thanks Owen Hi Gaston I have crossed all the parts and I think all I will need is the front cover. There is a salvage 715 in the neighborhood with a D301 that I can get cheap, so I should have all the parts I need.
