450 valves vs 450 lp valves

Are the valves for a 450 and 450 lp gas head the same length. I have a Super mta that I put the 450 lp gas head on. The head has new valves and valve springs. The ih man said the part numbers are the same for the valves for both heads. I have the rocker arms adjusted out about as far as it can go to have the correct valve lash. The rocker arm is the old one off the TA but now it is ticking. I don"t know if the ticking is coming from the rcoker arm adjustment being screwed out to far? If I have the wrong values in the head? Or I am just over looking something? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just a thought. Are the push rods the same part number?

You need to look carefully in the IH parts manual. The gas head & the LP head do require a different valve. The only place I could find them was at our IH dealer. Extremely costly!
