The IPTO will not disengage? I have adjusted the reactor bands according to the operators's manual and I&T shop manual; however, I am not positive because the "punch marks" in the instructions are gone? I adjusted with the control lever centered - the shaft will not disengage? Again many thanks for your help!

The "disengage" band is a brake. If you have it too tight you can't lock it in place, if it is too worn, you can't adjust it tight enough, meaning the band is worn out. New ones are available if you have $600 or so. Good used ones are available from external_link, and probably other places. $100+ or so. They can probably be relined if you have someone who can do it. I couldn't find anyone without shipping them somewhere so I got the ones for my 460 from Wengers.
