Cub Carb Problems

I have to pull the choke out a bit to get it to run smooth. No big problem, but would like to see it cured.

Same as the guy with the A yesterday. The problem, usually in this order.
1. Clogged fuel tank outlet, filter or screen at the float bowl
inlet.
2. float bowl fuel level too low.

3. Clogged jet in the carburator. The one on the cub can be
removed from the outside.

I aint afraid (too much) to mess with a real carb, like on a F-20,30, H, or my 34 CC Case. I AM afraid to mess with the one on the Cub. I tried it once, Then after I tried it, I took it to a carb man in Tulsa. He got it to running after my takeing it back twice, at least. Ill try the clogged jet, see what happens. Thanks.

It is seriously no big deal to take the jet out. It is located on the bottom of the carb on the side away from the engine. You haven't even got to take the carburetor off. Just unscrew it like a normal bolt and blow it out with an air compressor then spray it real good with an aerosol can of carb cleaner to make sure there is good flow. Good luck, SF

Once you have the jet out, take a thin copper wire so you don't damage the jet and poke it thru every orifice to dislodge anything hung up, then solvent and compressed air !!! May take you 30 seconds if you're slow. Craig
