It wont idle, and the hotter it gets, what idleing it does gets higher and higher. Ive adjusted the side screw as much as possible on the L side of the carb. Didnt effect it a bit.

Fill in the blanks. Did you maybe just rebuild the carb?? Or have you had it off the tractor for some reason?? If you did have it off are you sure you have the governor to carb linkage hooked up right?? Also if you rebuilt it you now need to adjust the governor to the carb or things will not work right. In the I-T manual there is 2 or 3 pages on how to do that adjustment

Make sure your all of your linkages are free and that the throttle control lever is able to move all the way back. I had a similar problem with mine after I replaced the rod with a spare one that was apparently a bit longer and once I shortened it a bit it was fine again.

You have serious vacuum leak. Either at the carb to manifold gasket, or more likely, the manifold to engine gasket.

either the idle metering jet is clogged, ot the passageway between the idle asjusting needle and the metering jet is clogged.
