I just got a super c and trying to determine the year. The plate on the side of the tool box is missing. The holes are there but no plate. Any other way to determine the make and model of the tractor. It has a 2 point hitch and several parts with numbers on them. Any help would be appreciated.

Look at casting numbers on most of the major castings. They are cast in letters in the form of 1*8*X, meaning the part was cast on Jan 8 1952. 1951 is U or W, 52 X, 53 Y, 54 Z.

You can also look at the motor serial number which is located on a flat spot below #1 spark plug. It won't be an exact match to the tractor serial but will be in the ball park. Otherwise do like CNKS said and look at the casting codes on several of the larger pieces.
