O/T Dirt turned: day 2

I got the SM running by changing the filter oil. Then put gas in her OUCH$$$$$. Per everyones advice I fixed my moldboards. I took 3/8" all thread and welded it to the moldboards and bent it to what i thought would work. Then put some stainless mesh over to help flip the sod. Boy did it pay off.Turned it like a charm. I was running through rocky ground but it worked well. Then i did get to disc it. I didn't get pics of that but it have about 4 inches of good soil and that was in two passes with an older disc that needs some new blades. So I'll be getting them here soon. And sorry Gordo, my dog was helping dad with the chicken coop all day.

Looks better now. About that wore out disc, years ago when we put our feilds in sericea, we had already disced a couple of fields with our old B20 Offset IH. Dad decided to put new disc on it before we fininshed, it when he did, that last field did look near as pretty as the rest of them. I guess they needed to be just slightly wore in. the guy who boughjt the it said it took him a couple of years of plowing his big garden with it before it cut nice and smooth.

Your Super M did a nice job!
Check at Agri Supply for new blades for your disc. Generally, they have a good prices and a nice selection.
