f20 throttle help

I have a 39 F20 and with the throttle all the way down, i can pull the throttle out about 4 or 5 teeth and not have any change. At the 6th tooth it goes up pretty good. Checked linkage and appears to not be binding. Any thoughts??

Mine are all that way, I just figure its normal.

its about 3/4 wore out and loose. short of going through the entire throttle assy and governor and taking out slack in everything, your gonna have to live with it

Ive got an F-20 my grandfather farmed with and i KNOW it has tons of hours on it, and its the same way. it only has about 40% of then entire thottle range on the handle thats useable

Thanks for all the help. Have gotten rid of a bunch of slack, now just have to look at the governor. What should i start to look for in it?
